Frontpage Layout Needs to Go
My site is coming along and I’m happy I’ve gotten some sort of organization going on. I have decided against using sub-domains and just stick with categories for now.
Anyway … I’ve been reading up on custom pages for the WordPress platform … their purpose and the other features in WordPress. You know … there’s so much more to this thing than I thought … but along with it comes much to be learned and I am not all eager to teach myself some other type of coding that isn’t HTML. I feel like Quentin (Terrence Howard’s character) on The Best Man when Harper (Taye Diggs’ character) mentioned the hotel business to him:
Harper Stewart: Hey, is your pops still trying to groom you for the hotel management business?
Quentin: Yeah, for the last 20 years? I’m just not trying to hear all that stuff, you know? Dealing with complaining-a guests, unions, and payrolls, and all that…
Yea … that’s how I feel about learning some new coding and when people approach me with an idea for me that I’d rather not do … like becoming a web designer … going large with the money transfer service I used to operate (didn’t like the headache dealing with it on a smaller scale, why would I go large?) … and so on and so on … thanks but no thanks … Anyhoo …
So I like the frontpage of my site, right? Well, most of it. But it’s missing something … I’m not quite sure what yet … but I need to redo the layout of the frontpage because right now I’m not feeling it … specifically, where the posts section is … yea I’m not really diggin’ it. So…. it’s got to go. That is … after I figure out what I’ma do with it … and when I do I’ll post up the ideas I came up with before finally picking one … until then …
