Now I never quite understood what and why I liked this movie. It’s not like I ever really followed the story line. I honestly couldn’t tell you what this movie was about. However, I distinctively remember one of the characters’ eye popping out and that character was my favorite along with the little furry pet. I don’t know the names of any of the characters (how sad). But that one character’s eye popped out I think during the time of some sort of invasion of the oversized beetles (or whatever they were). Man, that sound was annoying that they made.

They had some weird looking creatures in this film. And there was also this one bird, I think it was supposed to be a vulture. But it appeared to always have some grin on its face and would always make the sound of “HMMmmm.” I type it like that because it would start high on the ‘hmm’ part and come down. But I don’t think the bird could talk like the other birds could. So I suppose that was its way of approving or showing interest in something.

The last time I actually watched The Dark Crystal was when I was in Tennessee a little over a year or so ago. Prior to that I last saw it decades ago when I was much younger. I still like the movie. When I figure out what it is that draws me to this movie, I’ll let you know. Oh I do know it was done by Jim Henson about two what I guess were elves or something. Man, yea I seriously don’t know. But I enjoy it every time I watch it. It was a childhood favorite and I still like it, so therefore makes my list of movie faves.
